The aim of this site is to provide a contact point for british ex-pats to keep in touch with each other, thier friends and families. It also aims to provide useful information to UK residents wishing to relocate to this wonderful island, without the hype usually found in 'tourist' publications.
There is a wealth of good information available, but as all of us that have stepped out of the 'tourist' circle to live and work here know, what works for a couple of weeks' holiday, doesn't necessarily work long term. It's very difficult to find solid information on renting an apartment or house, phones, electric and gas supplies, buying a car, and a host of other things, even the best places for the weekly shop.............

With your support and input we can build a useful 'database' of information, accessible to everyone, with just a few clicks of the mouse.
A lot of necessary information is not usually available, such as the need to register for an Alien card or obtaining a Certificate of permanent residence, both of which may be needed to obtain full employment. Making sure Social Insurance payments are made and where to go to look for jobs, all things that are usually found out 'by accident' will be in our pages.
There will also be some adverts on the main pages for useful services provided at reasonable cost by ex-pats.
